I love music Paul has been gigging professionally and internationally since 1988 as he has played fiddle, mandolin, and guitar for over 30 years. Paul is also a proficient bass player and Irish banjo player. He graduated from Musician’s Institute and received three scholarships to the Grove School of Music where he studied musicianship, songwriting, and composing and arranging. Paul is a trained and accomplished song writer and arranger. In a jazz context, he wrote much of the music for Phillip Littel’s Society Boys years before the libretto that Littel wrote for “Streetcar of Desire” hit Broadway. Paul has played with The Chieftains, The Young Dubliners, Gaelic Storm, Blended Spirits, and Ken O’ Mally and the Twilight Lords. He has played in the Friday night band at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub, a place known for being L.A.’s oldest Irish Pub and for many record signings. He’s also shared the stage with The Dubliners, The Wolftones, Willy Clancy, Tommy Makem, Billy Connelly, and most recently Paul’s current band Highland Way opened for Flogging Molly at the L.A. Forum on St. Patrick’s Day 2017.” |
